Our New Friends!

Hi everyone!

Today, a few of our girls went to visit La Salle College High School to have a social event with the robotics team. Everyone really enjoyed the chance to get to know each other before build season and competitions start up. We played video games, watched videos, ate snacks and pizza, played board games, and had a girls vs boys game of Pictionary on the whiteboard. We also spent time with the mentors to strategize and collaborate. We were glad to have this opportunity to form a connection with the members of the La Salle robotics team.

After, we went back to the shop to work on some projects. We stripped parts off of Furnace, our 2015 robot, to use on a practice robot. This practice robot will give our new drivers the opportunity to fine-tune their skills before the actual robot is ready. We also spent some time talking about plans for the upcoming build season. Some of our alum came back to visit and help us. We had a great time!
