In spite of the challenges posed by the pandemic, we have experienced a significant influx of new members which, through the generosity of our sponsors, has allowed us to create a total of three FTC teams to account for all of our incoming Firebirds. These new teams are 18436 Basan, 18437 Valkyries, and 20390 Fire Snails. Initially, Basan and Valkyries were created in fall 2020 as a way to work around our school’s two cohort system, which divided the school. In the following year, we had so many recruits that it necessitated yet another FTC team. This increase in teams enables each member to experience more hands-on time with the bot.
