It's Just Me, Myself, and I

Hey everyone!

Sorry that I haven't written a blog post in a few days. Life here in the basement has been kind of crazy. Everyone is still recovering from the excitement of the competition, including me. I'll catch you up on what you missed...

On Monday, the girls got to share their competition experiences with everyone. They showed the video to the school during lunch. After school, they came down to the shop for a little just to clean up. They also thought more about how to get the hanger to work. They will need to build in a mechanical stop so Lumos does not slide down at the end of the match.

On Tuesday, everyone gathered to think about when the shop will be open during spring break. The girls can't come in again until Tuesday because work is being done in the school. For this reason, they will open Lumos's bag for three hours each on Wednesday and Thursday. That time will be used to fix the programming hiccups, get the hanger working, and practice driving. The team took all of their ideas for mechanical stops and compared them in order to figure out what will work best.

On Wednesday, many tasks were accomplished. My autonomous switches were mounted and wired up. The girls decided what needed to be adjusted in the Chairman's presentation in order to best represent our team. My tape measure motors were rewired, and my battery case was remounted. The chain on my ball intake was adjusted. My drive train was tuned up. The time flew by too quickly. Before I knew it, it was time to leave.

I'm going to miss my team a ton. Lumos is in the bag, so it's just going to be me, myself, and I until Tuesday. I'll probably drive around and have some adventures of my own. :)
